UIS Group of Companies has

1976. Since
then, the business has developed
into three divisions, which
often work together on various
projects:
Utilities
Instrumentation Service, Inc. has
established itself as a leader in electrical
testing and maintenance as a full member of
the InterNational Electrical Testing Association
(NETA). Our company
is a corporate and financially independent
organization which functions as an unbiased
testing authority. We are also professionally
independent of manufacturers, suppliers, and
installers of electrical equipment and systems
being tested. We provide a complete array
of electrical testing, troubleshooting and
power analysis. We are also specialists
with high voltage generators and their controls.
UIS
Programmable Services, Inc. provides
expertise in the field of
providing, installing, and
maintaining instrumentation and control systems
designed specifically for the customer's needs. Since
becoming a Value Added Reseller of Motorola
MOSCAD Systems in 1993, we have become a serious
competitor in the expanding Supervisor Control
And Data Acquisition (SCADA)
market. Our personnel are skilled with
both Motorola and Allen-Bradley PLCs and have
worked extensively with designs that integrate
the two. We are also a Wonderware Partner
Systems Integrator. Our field personnel
are certified by the International
Society of Measurement and
Controls (ISA).
For
new and existing systems, we perform
field evaluations to determine
component integrity, radio communication, and
frequency verification and modulation. We
perform coordinated in-house and field propagation
studies that determine antenna heights and bearings,
power requirements, and store and forward sites. We
also assist in processing new
and modified FCC licenses.

WheelerHydro Electric Services, Inc. has
developed into a forerunner
in the Hydro Electric Industry's
powerhouses and controls. Working
in conjunction with VATach (Voest-Alpine) as
their service representative for various systems,
this division continues to expand in river
level and flow monitoring, dam controls, and
generator controls. Our systems can provide
system logs as well as operation
of unattended hydro stations.
